Photo for tableware
Recently we noticed the guests using their single lens camera, cameras with long-strap and cell-phones during dining often.
This is dangerous because the tableware may break while you put these electronic items on the table or changing the lenses, pass them to others etc…
Cameras broken… Strap dipped in the dish… Wine split and dying clothes …
Hot soup split... Dropping your camera or cellphone in the meal and ruining the dish. Or even breaking the tableware...
These types of accidents happen often.
We take all tablewares as a crucial part to present our food and require your respects and recognition on it. It is an essential part to taste the real values of Japanese food.
We’ve been collected our tableware one by one with this thought.
The tablewares are 'antiques'- Been treated courteously for hundreds of years and have become the foundation of Japanese food culture.
We encounter these elements which are precious in telling the history of our country.
Using cameras during dining may make tablewares lose its life. This is absolutely not what we except.
Please be aware of the thought of the craftsmen who created these unreplaceable tableware. They are treasures of Ryugin.
Our intention is not to control the guests to keep the memory through electronics.
We are asking to put more conscious on tablewares than food when photographing.
Allow us to remind the guests to take pictures above the tableware when you are trying to take pictures of the food.
Antiques are the evidential matter of Japanese culture and history. We are handling the tablewares carefully not as our own belongings.
This is our mission to leave the respect of food to posterity. Therefore, your cooperation is necessary.
